The LOBILAT ART PROJECT EXHIBITION in Berlin
The LOBILAT ART PROJECT EXHIBITION showed art work made by Syrian refugee children in Lebanon.
Miss Stanhope and me love Arabic letters and stamping. We also love Syrian refugee children. That is why we made Arabic letter stamps for an art project with Syrian refugee children.
In October we visited MALAAK NGO in Lebanon for art activities with Syrian refugee children. MALAAK NGO has its premises in Akkar, which is the Northern region on the boarder to Syria. Many thanks to MALAAK NGO for letting me and Miss Stanhope stay, work and sleep there during our stay. I had the impression, that the kids really enjoyed the art activities, where they were stamping with individual Arabic letters. The Syrian kids took a lot of their work home, but gave a lot of prints to us for the art exhibition.
There was lots of art work to choose from. It took a lot of time to frame the prints (22 cups of coffee). There is something really special about the framed art work by Syrian refugee children: On the back of each art work, there is a photo of the Syrian child holding the framed art work. The name of the child and some more information...
I can only say, that it took much longer to put up all the art work. My "first" LOBILAT ART PROJECT exhibition...
For those, who are interested in buying art work in order to finance further art activities in Lebanon I made some CLOSE UPS. The money goes to the LOBILAT charity account of the art aspects e.V. . The framed art work is available for 50 Euro plus shipping costs. Please drop Miss Stanhope an email (firstname.lastname@example.org) , if you are interested in buying a piece. Miss Stanhope will check, if it is still available. . We are no placing these original works into my online shop, as that is our online business. The size of the frame is roughly 34cm x34cm.
